Giveaway: a pattern and a coin purse

Hello friends!  Despite the fact that I have three FOs that remain unblogged as well as a wee tutorial for you I don’t seem to find the time to sit down and write.  I guess ‘tis the season when one gets busy with holiday prep, baking and gift making. This means ‘tis also the season for festive giveaways and I have a little something for two lucky readers.

First up is the Miz Mozelle dress pattern by Jamie Christina.

From the pattern envelope: “A dress full of sweet happiness! This vintage inspired dress features a peter pan collar, elastic waist, and a keyhole neckline buttoned at the top. The pattern includes full size pattern pieces, Glossary of terms, and illustrated instructions in color.”  I bought this pattern about six months ago but a recent experience with a different elastic waist dress has led me to the conclusion that the shape is all wrong for my round figure.  Don’t let this deter you from trying out this pattern!  What better proof than the lovely versions made by Cirque du Bebe and Little Betty.

The second treat I have for you is one of my snap coin purses.

This little guy (made with the same fabric as the festive clutch I gave away last year) measures approximately 4” wide by 5” tall by 1” deep. While the frame is sturdy enough to sustain the weight of coins, this bag has multiple uses: keep your lip balm or lip gloss safely tucked away in your larger purse, use it for your transit pass or work pass, or even to store jewelry when you travel.  The possibilities are endless.

This giveaway is open until Thursday December 13th at midnight, PST and is open to international readers. The winners will be selected by random number generator and will be announced on Friday December 14th.  To enter the giveaway leave a comment below letting me know which item you would like – it’s okay to enter for both!

Happy holidays and happy crafting.

  1. While I’m not a fan of the elastic waist, I like the keyhole neckline and the overall girly look of the dress. I would try to make it from a knit to get a more hanging shape.

  2. Hmmm . . . don’t know if it’s kosher for me to enter, but I would love to give the Miz Mozelle dress a try. You know I’m not afraid of a little elastic, LOL!

  3. As much as i like the keyhole bodice, I’d go for the little purse you made. It would really help in my messy bag! Thanks

  4. Your coin purse is super cute, and I’ve been eying that pattern for months! It’s really lovely – Thanks for giving us all the chance to be the lucky winners!

  5. Oh I can’t decide. I’m planning a whole load of dress sewing next year so the pattern would be perfect…but that little purse would be great in my bag for some of my little loose bits. Too adorable!

  6. I would love the coin purse. It would be the perfect pop of color (and easy to find) in my black hole of a handbag! I was eying up the purses you had in the pictures from the craft fairs and it would be great to have one.
